Gents,
Well, some time ago mom told me she had Opa's slides somewhere, and indeed after some digging she found a whole tray of color slides. But she swore there was another. She was wrong - it was NEGATIVES. And there are a lot. Now I have all of his photos that were developed, but what to do with the nagatives? Glancing through there are many shots of his time in Antwerp and on the coast on his Siebel Ferry preparing for Sea Lion. There are photos from leave in Lille where he met Oma - see the pic below. And there are just a ton of shots from throughout the war, and he had everything developed in this one shop in Antwerp and sent them all home.
Cheack out the nest Flak 78 papers many of the negs are wrapped in! Any ideas what the Flak 78 stand for?
There is also a VERY dense, heavy, maleable metal sheet. Any ideas on what it is? So how do I scan the negs? I did a quickie below and it looks ok. Any tips?
Thanks!
Marc
