Where could they have gone?

When I was a young boy, I was told that after the July 20th attempt
on Hitler's life, the conspirators were rounded up, tried, and executed
by hanging them with piano wire from meat hooks. Hitler had these
gruesome deaths filmed for his private viewing. My questions are: Is
this story based on fact or fiction? If it is a fact, then what became of
these movies?

IIRC from the discussion, some sort of wire was used to execute a few of the main plotters.
