    Grossdeutschland Die Feuerwehr Divisional Newspaper

I'm trying to research the publication Die Feuerwehr, the Divisional newspaper of Grossdeutschland. Information on this appears to be very thin on the ground.

So far I have found one image of the actual newspaper and when the paper was first issued.

I am after any kind of information and images. Publication dates, how big the issues were, variations in title page design, any information at all is welcome.

    Thanks

Hi Rikster, it seems that Die Feuerwehr is a subject that many would be interested in, but very little information is available.

Could you let me know any information about it, such as height, width, number of pages or even attatch some decent size images of the pages.

I would appreciate any help you can provide, cheers.

        OK.
        As you look at it.

Height 310mm width 230mm. Obviously double this when folded out.

2 sheets of paper printed both sides totalling 8 sides.

Standard newspaper type paper from the time.

I have scanned front and rear, (not much time on my hands at the moment)contact my via PM and I can get a photocopy of the whole thing to you.

I notice this is your first post. Whats the fascination with GD's Newspaper?

        cheers, Rik

Thats great thanks Rikster. It's the same issue as I have seen before, only your image is much larger and clearer.

I've been in a GD re-enactment group for 8 years and am one of the more senior members of the group now. Coupled with that is more involvement and responsibility. One of my tasks is reviving the unit newsletter, which had become a bit stale over the last few years. My intention is to recreate it in the style of the original, rather than produce my own substandard creation.

I live out in the country and have only recently managed to gain internet access, so please forgive my ignorance, but what does PM mean? To get a copy of the complete issue would be fantastic. Cheers

PM or Private Message. If you look at the top right hand corner of the menue you will see a link to Private Messages shere you can talk to other forum memebers privately.

useful for exchanging personal information or anything you do not want to see on the forum

also Most of the Die Feuerwehr were written by one Lt. Thiel you might want to look under his name as he was an active journalist after the war as well.

Seems the first issue and the last are quite common and it seem to be #2~15 and the second last one 38 that are the hard ones to find.

Not sure if anyone has a complete collection but I know a few are almost complete
