    Iron Cross II Cl. Document help!

    Hi guys here a shot of a document in my collection, i don't understand as for the other one i posted (sturmabzeichen) who is the Generalmajor.
    The document is of:

    8./Art.Rgt 294

    Hi,
    i wonder about this doc.... Signature does not correspond with info from Lexikon der Wehrmacht. It doesnt feel right but i could be wrong. Signature and stamp...?

      I saw me too in lexikon, but there are only the names of the commanders of division and not of the officiers of the regiment...
      In website ironcross.it there's another document with the same signature. It isn't a stamp, is in ink made by hand.
      Probably i think this officier is one of the thousand and thousand lost between documents with no memory...

        No, it says Generalmajor und kommandeur, it is not signed by anyone else. All general grade officers are known. However, the document was not necessarily issued by the 294 Infanterie Division.

          I post the document i told you with the same signature.
          It's different and it don't came from 294 division. You are right Simon, probably this officier came from different unit.

            There you go. Walther Krause of the 170 Infanterie Division.

              The only thing i don't understand now is why if Krause was commander of 170 division signed a document of the 294 division!

                  I found a news about him:

                  Knight Cross Winner as Generalmajor on june 10 1943 as commander of 170 infantry division

                  I'll give thanks if someone can tell me where 170 infantry division were during this period...
