Thank you guys for your words

Claudio, I believe he survived the war. He's from Augsburg.

As Jean-Yve correctly suggests, officer albums are the best to pursue. He need not be highly decorated himself, because the ability to assemble his life into good albums is a different capability than fighting

      So, my ideal would be...

      1. estate of a panzer officer, because many highly decorated soldiers and tanks can be expected.
      2. soldiers entire career covered, hopefully from RAD to captivity.
      3. large portrait, hopefully DIN A4 or larger.
      4. several good portraits from various periods.
      5. many snapshots of himself from various periods.
      6. paperworks related to his life, especially Urkunden.
      7. books and prints from the units
      8. letters and telegrams, hopefully from his superiors
      9. hopefully, Soldbuch and Wehrpass

One can only hope good things to happen in the future

To congratulate the new forum, I would like to add one album here...

Not as magnificient and complete as François's great albums, but here is one FJ album of Joachim Pracher, a little but fairly complete one.

Joachim is shown by a red arrow.

The first pages... A large picture of parachute and his portrait.

Then comes a few early pictures...

                  Then Russia.

In the bunker... Being able to see himself in pictures give more value to the series of photos, in my humble opinion!

                    And he was taken prisoner...

                      In London as a POW!

And to close the album, again the big portrait! Very nicely assembled concise album this is!
