    Do not exist

There are no existing photos of Isoroku Yamamoto wearing the Oakleaves and Swords as Hitler awarded them to him posthumously on May 27, 1943 after U.S. P-38 Lighting Fighters ambushed and shot the Japanese General down over Rabaul.

He was awarded the Oakleaves & Swords after his death, but was he awarded the Knights Cross before he died??

Any pics of him with his RK?

          Just wondering too,
          John

I wasn't aware that he had been awarded the RK in any form. Most interesting!! I wonder if the medal still exists to day in Japan. Are Yamamoto's medals on display over there??

                Hello
To John : Adm. Yamamoto was posthumosuly awarded both RK, oakleaves and swords.
I don't know if the full set was sent to Japan for his funeral and later delivered to his family.
                Regards
