Sorry Gary but it's bad. A quick brush up on the history of FdU West, where it was and who was in command shows this one up for what it is.

In short, wrong place, wrong signature and four months before the office of FdU West even existed. Also that name does not appear on the German wargraves database and U-boat crews should all be there. I can't make out the feldpost number but we don't need to check in this case.

What can be wrong is wrong with this document.

A further look at the stamp shows it to be '56509' this stamp has been seen on other fakes, the fieldpost number actually belonged to the propaganda company of the LSSAH.

These documents were sold years ago by Globe Militaria. Like the energizer bunny, they keep going and going...
