Need opinion on BWB award document

Is this BWB award document a good one or should I use it as fuel for my stove?

Anything particular to watch out for when judging these type of award documents?

Does anyone recognize the signature of the document?

A lot of questions I know, but I am the "new guy on the block" when it comes to award documents.

    Any help appreciated. Thanks!

    It could be ok... But

    1. Stamp is not faded, it wasnt stamped properly!... Not a German way!

    2. schwarz is as far as im aware, wrote... S c h w a r z on these.

    3. Date is normally i.e 21 oktober 1941 not 21.10.1941

I just dont like niggles like this, but hope someone could put us straight!

    Regards
    Dan

I like the document too. There is nothing on this one that screams fake. I find it interesting that the document shows the recipient's platoon assignment (communication platoon) in addition to the Abteilung. A platoon listing is not often seen on documents.

          Best regards,

            Dan, Christian, Gerdan and Tom,

            Thank you for the information.

You have just saved the document from potential incineration

            I just hate fakes...

                  Simon,

Thanks for the "setting straight" info.

                  No Scandinavian politeness this time

Clear cut information is the best.

No worries Dan... This is why forums like WAF and GCA are great places. No hard feelings just hard facts.

Thanks again for helping the "new guy"!
