        Ehrentempel, Königsplatz, Munich.
        They are from SS-Standarte Deutschland.

Hi and welcome to the Forum

GD was a Heer division and not SS. The armbands in your pictures are from the SS Regiment Deutschland, later part of 2nd SS 'Das Reich'.

I think that these photos are press photos

Thank you ! The photos are still glued into a black cardboard typical of the era photo albums and cutted all around, they looks at me original and beautiful but any suggestion is always welcome!Alex

I already checked on the web for a picture of ehrentempel but seems to be different as location due it seems to be, from era photos, in an open space...

Here is an artist drawn postcard of this scene.

                  Cheers,

It is the Ehrentempel, without doubt. The buildings in the background are the Führerbau (top photo, north Ehrentempel) and the Verwaltungsbau (bottom photo south Ehrentempel). Both photos are taken from the Briennerstrasse side.
Here is a photo taken from the north Ehrentempel, looking towards the southern building, with the Verwaltungsbau in the background. You can even see the same doorway in the side of the Verwaltungsbau. Königsplatz to the right and Briennerstrasse to the left.

                        Max is 100% correct.

And here's what they look like today

Thanks Rob. Your photo shows the ruin overgrown base of the south Ehrentempel with the Verwaltungsbau behind. The car at left is just leaving Briennerstrasse and facing the Königsplatz.

A shot taken 'roughly' in the same area in the period photo (the stairs leading up to the base, along with the platforms the guards are standing on, are long gone)

                              Correct

I tried to find a picture that shows both bases, looking towards the Führerbau, but as I go through my pictures I remember now that I wasn't able to get one due to the massive overgrowth of vegetation.

Here's a shot looking down Meiserstraße that shows the remains of both Ehrentempel, the Fuhrerbau being just to the left, out of picture
