Could somebody please read and translate it for me.... German is also good..


And does somebody knows were these Feldpostnumbers are from?

There are two on this card: Number 15595 in the stamp
and M 31015 (H)

I picked this card up on German ebay for 1 euro, it was written on a Postcard that was from the area in Holland where I live...

So the Postcard was send in december 1941 to Lüdenscheid, and send back in 2008 to almost the area where in came from....

I walk every day to my work on my wooden shoes....

Just kidding......

But in some parts here in my area it was just normal in those days to walk on wooden shoes....

The only wooden shoes we see today are in gift shops and usually with hand-painted flowers or country scenes on them. They have almost become the Dutch equivalent of the German Hummel figurines. Many people don't realize that they were actually used as shoes not so terribly long ago.
