    Your favourite Collection photos?

What are your favourite Collection photos?

Photos of YOUR OWN Collection. So that does mean you don't take photos you found on the internet (like the other thread).

Maybe you can tell why it is one of your favourite photos?

If you can and know, tell a bit more of those who are on the photo.

Powerful photo. I can't exactly tell which division it is or what it is doing.
If I look to the bicycles, ammoboxes and that one of the Soldiers is carrying two K98's and nicely packed. I guess they are marching to another division to fight.

Beautiful photo which let the love between man and animal see. Pure friendship. I think this Soldier is from the Cavalry.

A training. Nice uniforms, different. Winter. Really a Nice pictures.

I have chosen this photo from my Belgium in May 1940 photo thread. The photo is taken close to where I live. We see an NCO in the background looking at the captured material, and an artilleryman posing with an uncovered Belgian KIA. The whole scenery is very moving to me.

I live in Belgium too, Berchem (Antwerpen).

        Hello Gents,

One of my 2 all-time favorites:

East Front 1943 - March. Romanian and German troops. The romanians are busy unloading some crates of food and/or ammo. The German guy is sitting right next to them.

East Front 1943 - March. The same Romanian trench and some of its inhabitants.

        Cheers,

        Al

Ive chosen these series of portraits, purely for the different look in the eyes, before and after action.

First a portrait taken during training.

Then the after action photos. Just look at the difference in the look in the soldier's eyes.

                  Hi,

Yes, first a trench, then afterwards it developed into a small bunker. Here is another shot from the group.

Nice, do they all use German weapons?

I have a comparison similiar to yours.
