Hello,
I just did some reference book research and this intresting information to go with these documents imo:
- On 3 April 1945, Hermann Pister commander of KL Buchenwald showed his intention to surrender the camp.
So the order for extra food to be delivered on these dates might also be proof that the camp commander was intrested to improve the situation in the camp.
From 6 April onwards the underground resistance movement in Buchenwald became openly actif.
More information: Buchenwald concentration camp 1937-1945 compiled by Harry Stein in 2004.
Cheers,
Peter
