Photo quiz for the U-boat fans!!!!

What I would like to know is:

1) Who is the Ritterkreuzträger?
2) What is the emblem on the side of the ship?
3) Which U-boot is this?

Two should be easy...sorry no prize but lets see what you can do!!!

1= The man with the Knight Cross is Rudolf Mühlbauer, KC as Brückenmaat on U123, later transfered to U170.
Last rank Oberbootsmannsmaat.
2= Skihasen
3= U170


No prize ??? not even a vacuumcleaner.

That's interesting Michel,

Difficulat to see what they are actually wearing on their caps but I will see if I can find any clearer shots....

Although a little "blurry", I think we can see both versions of the Mützenabzeichen being worn here?
