Inscription question (Lw-felddivision sniper w/ K98k-Zf41)

here are my latest acquisition, they seem to be soldiers of Lw-felddivision. (Thanks to the members on the Fallschirmjäger Forum. http://wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/s...d.php?t=258873 )

The writing on the back.


I read:
Rußland im Juli 1943
Zigarettenpause hinter der H.K.L. am Wolchow.

But the - of "t"s seem to be missing. Is this normal?
And do you think the writing is original to the photo?

My opinion: the German text is written correct, I cannot see any problems.

I just felt strange why he had to repeat "hinter der H.K.L. am Wolchow" every time.

If the pictures are from Wolchow, any information on Lw-felddivsion at Wolchow in 1943 would be great!

It could be that the writer wanted to avoid that the photographs when got

mixed up with others could not be identfied any more - may be from his family

at home.

I think one must see every photo and the text isolated from the rest of the

serie.

12 and 13 Luftwaffen Feld Division was in the Wolchow positions at that time!

I see nothing wrong with these, as it matches with the letter "t" from the Sütterlin script.
