Hercules Incorporated produced the first acid-free paper in the 50's. It became known in the middle of the 30's that acid paper detoriated fast.
I would like to see the paper in hand. Remember that the printing techniques werent the same in the 30's as they are today.
Normally its said that you should only use 3 different fonts at the same time, here its four. Further, they had a maximum of 4 colors to mix, so if the card was actually made in the 30's they had to print it several times to get all the colors.

Why do you make the assumption I posted this? I have no control of when and where people are going to post the images I send them.
Assumption is the mother of all eff ups!

This card was made for this year with it have 1940 printed upon it and all. This would've only gone out to upper echelons. Minister of agriculture, tourism, close friends and quite possibly a few ambassadors.
This would've had to have been the best and the best only. There's no way it could've been just some ole scrag tag bit of card.

You wanted pics of the card so I posted pics of the card.
I sell items on Ebay but not WW2, only imperial items such as Iron Cross.
These items drifting around the net belong to me and are in my collection not anyone elses' collection. I've been sending out images to other collectors for years, years.
Why has there been a drift from the card in question?
A friend suggested I take a look at this forum for he spoke highly of it. No doubt there are some good guys here.
It's just not worth the time and as a new member I feel like I'm on trial when I haven't done anything wrong. You wanted the pics so I posted them and yet nothing constructive just a switch for you seem to think it was me that has posted my images elsewhere. I'm outta here!Last edited by beuchars; 12-29-2007, 12:01 PM.
