I am sorry, but I have to agree with Max on this one.

I am not a paperwork 'expert' but I know something about printing and design and I really would be amazed if that was genuine.

I would be the first to apologise if I was wrong, but I would need some serious proving on this one and this would not be one for my collection.

Oh I agree, the fakes have to be exposed whenever possible. This forum is the greatest thing ever for the collectors. Reality checks can be very painful.

I acquired this from German SS Major General Julius Schaub and Adjutant to Adolf Hitler. Gen Schaub had kept this along with a number of other documents of Hitler. A lot of these he detroyed in his own back garden by fire, including Hitler's birth certificate.

well the modern fonts used is a instant giveaway. I have a early x-mas card from 1933 somewhere, will check for photos. Thats not one similarity between them, thats for sure.

found it faster than I thought. From a estate. Fully trackable back to 1933. Sorry it wasnt a xmas card, but you get the idea.

the receiver wrote a sketch before typing it(I assume, else they sent the handwritten letter in return together with the card).

Just responding to his points. My initial post was just giving my opinion, but he then challenged me to justify the reasons for my opinion, so I felt obliged to give them.

You must be somekind of a joker. You write it off without just cause and then you ask me a question about it. What planet you from?

I thought this was for big league collectors but how wrong am I. This is amateur school for those that write upon subjects they know nothing about.

Max, you need to get the basics right for if you don't get these right, you won't get anything right.

Your reply is the kind of reply you can put to any item, not good enough. I could reply that every signature is a fake to every post.

PS - Maybe my certificate of authenticity for this piece is a fake too. It must be hey Max!?

Beuchars should also note that Hitler was nowhere near the Berghof over Christmas 1940. For the first half of December 1940, he was in Berlin and then set out for a tour visiting his troops in France and Belgium over Christmas. On 23 December 1940, Hitler was in his special train "Amerika" in Boulogne with Keitel and the rest of his personal staff. He did not return to the Obersalzberg until New Years Eve.

that font is way off, looks like a 5 year old with a color printer had some fun !
Then someone came along and tried to make it look authentic.
Sorry am not buying it.
Max is spot on with his observations, when it comes to him, you better pay attention.
