Geez..........disgusting. I guess Senator Larry Craig from Idaho would call photo #6 paradise. No privacy at all. Except for combat, that was the worst part of being in the field.

Henrik, I am happy to see the yellow backed NSFK insignia in your photo album. I have seen many collectors state that the yellow backed insignia are fake and not period items. I have a rare NSFK sport shirt with the correct yellow backed NSFK insignia, and I am happy to see your example preserved in the photo album from the era!!!! Thank you as always for sharing!

Here's a link to a photo of the original Icarus statue in Berlin, that was used as a model for the NSFK badge.

Henrik,
Apologies in my delay in answering your posts, I'm nursing a broken leg which I received at work!! Thank you for the close-ups of the yellow backed insignia, I very much appreciate it! Terrific stuff. I am glad to see someone able to dispell this long perpetuated myth that ALL of the yellow backed NSFK insignia were fakes. Attached is a photo of an NSFK man wearing the yellow athletic shirt, as shown in one of the wartime NSDAP books.Attached Files
