          Other relatives

Heinrich actually had three brothers in as well, and here are two of them both of which died. Erich is on the left, and Herbert. Another of my wife's uncles (from her Mother's Sister) was captured and became a visitor for free compliments of the U.S. Army, in Algona PW Camp in Iowa for 2-years. He didn't need a Visa for that stay. Uncle Erich on the left and Uncle Heinz on the right.

              Josef

Oldest Brother Albert. He lived until a decent old age of 79-years old. One of the lucky ones, never captured as a PW etc. First thing that came off after wars end, all insignia etc. And Quick!!

I am glad the unit question was sorted out! I have several photos of the Falke Division. If you like, I will email them to you!

                            Thanks Dave

I really appreciate the comment. I am still not done, but like you said lots of time to do all of this, but I just love to share the photos, and am really proud of my Father In-law's service. Even though there are a lot of people out in this world who would disagree with what I have just wrote, he was simply a soldier who was (at the time) doing his job and nothing else. Better than going to a concentration or work camp I always say. I also appreciate all others who have made positive comments as well. Still have a few more I would like to put up, and I am working on them now, so look for them soon.

                            Thanks Mike

                              Web Site

I would also like to mention Bernd of http://www.ww2awards.com/ once more.

If you have any pictures of which you would like to share, or contribute to this web site, I would really encourage you to please do so. Bernd is a really nice person to talk with, and this web site is not a web site for anything else other than making the public aware of all of the hardships, awards won by individuals etc. It is indeed a web site worth visiting and also sharing your stories and pictures. Please feel free to contact them on their web site, and please mention the fact that I sent you there. We have become pretty close in the last few days, and Bernd is not one who will not return your emails. Very friendly people on this web site. Thanks for your time.

                              Regards,
                              Mike

                                Two Brothers

Here is a set of two brother's who died. As a note; The other picture was already posted, when I realized that this was actually two brother's. What is really amazing when I read the death of one (Josef), he died on my birthday. Just several months after Josef died (7-months), Eberhard his brother died. Must have been a lot of sorrow back at home I am sure. Pictures are copy right protected.
