    Hand filled citations.

Against the normal rules of mass produced citations and filled by typewriters sometimes we can see that some clerk has taken time to do a little artwork, perhaps for a fellow comrade or a respected superior. I like to see what you have relating to this, I have search my collection and found a few that I post here, please do the same and let us see what you have.

First WH Long Service award for later Hauptmann Karl Schaab (DKiG winner), see it was done in the way you write a letter not too much time spent.

Another WH Long Service award, this time to later Major Hermann Wunnenberg (DKiG winner).

This time a better work done, look that neither of both bears the signature of the commanding officer, one a stamp and the othera F.d.R. one.

West Wall medal to later Hauptmann von Kniedstedt (DKiG winner).

The rank of the bestowing general must be added by hand and the one from the signing officer by typewriter.

Our friend Schaab again, looks like he was an apreciated man, a lot of work in his citations. This time is his Black Wound Badge.

I make a mistake, second citation is to later Oberfeldwebel Helmut Brogeler and not to Major Wunnenberg, the one for W. is typewrite filled, sorry

IAB posthumously to Leutnant Gregor Bux killed at Borodino on July 20th, 1.941.

EK II to Obergefreiter Turke. He fought with one of those ammassed units formed with the remanents of destroyed divisions. Very nice work. Turke served sometime with the GD.
