As a foot note only, in case there is any interest, the Gerätekolonne and the rest of II./Ln.-Rgt. 35 was in support of V. Fliegerkorps in Ukraine during 1941, advancing along the line Cherkassy to Poltava. At the beginning of 1942, it was transferred north to the Rzhev-Dugino-Vyazma area where it remained until March 1943 when it retreated to the the Unecha-Vitebsk-Nevel area. In June 1943 it was re-designated Gerätekolonne/Ln.-Abt. 74, which provided signals support to 4. Fliegerdivision. The Abteilung and its Gerätekolonne were stationed in Vitebsk (Oct 43), Orsha (Jan - May 44), Minsk (Jun 44), Goldap/East Prussia (Sep and Oct 44), Angerburg (Wegorzewo)/East Prussia )Nov 44 to Jan 45), and elements including the Gerätekolonne in Königsberg/East Prussia (Feb and Mar 45). As was the case for so many small units, the Gerätekolonne simply "disappeared" during the Soviet advance into East Prussia in Jan and Feb 45.
