8 Panzer Div, etc. Signature ID Help Please

Can somebody (Simon? ) please help me ID the signatures on the following docs?

I've tried to work it out myself but with no luck.

    Thank you.

    All the best,
    Toby.

Hi Toby, here is a list of the Divisional CO's:

            http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...sionen/8PD.htm

            See if that helps?

            Cheers, Ade.

              Hi Ade,

Thanks for the link. I did look there before posting. However, in looking again, I wonder if the Div Kom signature is that of General der Panzertruppen Erich Brandenberger? Timeframe is correct and the signature with a little squinting of the eyes and imagination does look as if it could read Brandenberger.

              All the best,
              Toby.

To be honest I was thinking the same thing.

                Cheers, Ade.

What's the fp number on the okt.38 doc?

                    Hi Simon,

Thanks for replying. The number is 09983 which I believe corresponds to Stab I. Bataillon (of Schuetzen-Regiment 28).

                    Best,
                    Toby.

                      Right then.

Okt.38 - the later Generalleutnant Wilhelm Crisolli, RK
Ostfront - The later Generalleutnant Josef von Radowitz, EL
KVK2 - General Erich Brandenberger, EL
PAB - General Adolf-Friedrich Kuntzen, RK
WB i'm afraid has me stumped.

                        That's great. Thank you Simon.

                        Some interesting signatures!

Nice set of docs there. Although it won't help any, the Wound BAdge looks like "Schmitz". I suppose that unit would have to be your favorite, to have any hope of figuring out which Major Schmitz...

That signature is for sure Brandenberger's. Attached find photos of a document signed by Brandenberger to a Hauptmann in the 8. Pz. Div., coincidently also named Krueger, and in Gren.Rgt. 28...Tom
