I don't like to see albums being split up for profit but it's better than just being thrown out with the rubbish or burnt.

The sore point for me is that of lost information that can never be recovered. That could be rectified quite easily by the seller by simply scanning the whole album before it's destroyed, that way the historical information of the whole is preserved. It can also be of help to future collectors that might like to try and reunite a grouping.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

        That is really crass !

I am just totally amazed by how they get such a huge inventory of albums. This guy turns over a huge amount each year.

Is it really that easy to buy complete albums in Germany ?
How does this guy do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When it was mentioned that the old album pages are used, I remembered that I must also have bought some photos from them, as I remember receiving some packaged like that some time ago ... I do not agree with photo albums being broken up ... ok, you do get more money for the lot when doing that, but I think it is simply wrong and I would never do that and have never done that with any photo albums that I have had ... but as already mentioned, until the item is sold, it is the seller's property and he/she can do whatever they want with it ... Cheers, Torsten.

I think when you split up a photo album you are destroying a historical document but it is his property and he can do what he wants with it.

What I ask to myself it's how, this seller, can find a so huge number of pictures...it's quite incredible....besides, it's very sad to split pictures that spent all their "lives" into albums...albums belonged to persons who gave them the rule to keep the memory....

I think pics should be kept together, but until I have millions of Euros to spend without thinking what can you do?

someone needs to become friends with Antik-Sammler (auction factory).
He sure knows how to find albums in Germany. I estimate he sells an album's worth every 1-2 days, and that has been for at least the last 6-7 years.
