the guy says these are real, but as I know, everyone says that the photos are very cool tho, just thought if i post them here someone might have seen them before in a book etc, if not, what are these worth to buy?

    thanks

    Seen them before

    Hi,

I have seen many of them before. Several have been published in Signal during the war and then in some other WW2 books postwar. The Time-Life book series on WW2 contained some of them as well.

    Sorry about the bad news

    cheers

      Kiwi,

Most of them are well know.

They were published in the wartime magazine "Signal" in the middle of that magazine there were a couple of photos printed in color.

Also published in postwar books and magazines.

The photos you show us here aren't of a good quality, but I don't think that they are original, and because of that not much worth.

When you buy an original wartime "Signal" magazine, you have an original large sized print.

Such a magazine costs around 10 to 15 Euro, although the 1945 ones are scarce and much higher priced.

          ok, thanks guys

now i did ask the dude, and he said "they have Technicolor stamped on some of them , in gold , Technicolor was around before the war , the photo's are in matt and some are gloss with borders , they have been individually number by someone. The photo paper in which they are on is kodak which again was around before the war" I guess i should pass on them like most things

Damn people have made it hard to collect this gear rip off fiends etc, I hope they get there cumupins one day!

          thanks

          edit :added the end note

Well that should of been a red flag as Technicolor was

            1) never used for color prints of photograph only movie film prints
            2) Technicolor was is not a Kodak product as matter of fact the two companies have been bitter rivals for the movie biz for generations

Like the others say all of these photos come from Signal and I think most of them come from the book published in the mid 80s called 'The Best of Signal'. It was a large coffee table sized book and anyone with a god digital scanner can create prints from it for pennies.

              Hi @all
I think that they are not made during wartime because this picture series was first printed as a collection map "Die Wehrmacht im Kampf" with 32 single pages 32x45 cm, all undertitled by PK men. The original dia-series is archived at Bundesarchiv-Bildarchiv in Berlin.
