I've had this stamp in my collection for a good number of years now (a MAX show purchase). Does anyone have any thoughts about the authenticity?

Wooden & Brass Bahnhof stamp

Perhaps I should have added the dealer's description concerning the stamp that he has for sale.
"This stamp measures approximately 5.5 inches long. The handle is a rounded wood type and the stamp itself is fashioned of a brass material. Along the edge of the lower portion, there is the number, “168", and after this, is an open-winged eagle with swastika. Assumedly, this is some type of proofing method that was done by the manufacturer. At the bottom of the brass stamp is the raised out Political open-winged eagle with wreath swastika. The number, “5", is below the wreath. Along the outer edge, raised-out and printed backwards, is the legend “Kanzlei des Führers des NSDAP”. This stamp was taken from Hitler’s office at the Reich Chancellory."

Documentsguy. You are right. I should have said "appears" like it is molded rather then applied. Notice how in the first one, the lettering appears to have a backing "molded" to the stamp. On all the original stamps I've seen, the letters appear to be individually molded, with a sharp base appearence, even after heavy use (once you clean off all the clogged old ink). Then you can go on to the contruction of the handle. Here, the second one looks fake also. If the second was from where it said it was, we would have seen it used on more documents.

Ah - Ha ! Now, I get it. (applied vs. molded)
But, you know what I've been thinking about. My stamp (stamp number 1 at the top of the page), do you think it's odd that someone would take the time to make a repro out of a Bahnhoff Offiziert stamp?
If I were a repro person / organization, I'd make one for SS Totenkopf, Furhrer Befehl Berlin, 1. SS Leibstandarte, Hitler Jugend, or Fallschirmjäger. I don't think I'd waste my time on a common Bahnhoff stamp.
But, maybe the repro people want us to think this way. A little reverse psychology?
