Hi Jack,

I quoted your question on an italian modeller's forum (http://www.modellismopiu.it/modules/...forum=5#165130) and the answer was the following: the plane is a Romeo Ro-1.

Regarding to the badge, it is a circle including a fascio, one the symbols of the fascist movement who was used as one of State Seals. The following is a photo I took in the Air Force Museum in Vigna di Valle, not far from Rome.
