Looking for a photograph of Hans Malkomes

Hello,

I'm looking for a good photograph of Ritterkreuzträger Hans Malkomes . On the Internet i only find poor photographs.
I would be even willing to buy one, but just at the moment i'm fine with a Picture/Pictures posted in here.

I found the Recommendation papers for him, but not any photographs. Not even scans from the J. Peiper Book.

Hello Stna: Welcome to the site. I am also a new member as of last week and I can't get over how wonderful this site is! I just stumbled over your post on your request for a photo of Hans Malkomes. and immediately responded to my personal library of information, and found your picture of Malkomes, (commander of "Tiger" Company in Normandy). SS-Obersturmfuhrer Malkomes
received his K.C. on 31 Oct 1944. You will find a nice photograph of him wearing his crusher SS visor on page 232 of "Jost W. Schneider'S" book titled
"Their Honor Was Loyalty!", ...and illustrated and documentary history of the Knight's Cross Holders of the waffen-ss and police, 1940-1945. (Copyright 1977). Im sure that this 1st edition book is out of print by now. There is also a
photograph of his K.C. Award Document next to his photo. I would post this picture on the site but I am new and have not mastered that technique as of yet! Hope this helps you out a bit!

Hello Berlin1961, this is interessting. And yes i'm sure it's out of print and probably hard to get.

As Napalm already said you can use a website such as www.imageshack.us to upload a Picture File, and paste the link of it in here.

Ok, Thanks Napalm for the info....I am now registered with Imageshak so I
guess I can now put on photographs. Only problem is I need a blow by blow description of how to go about doing it! Any helpers out there? Looking at this
board is like trying to figure out hieroglyphics!!!

1. You go on imageshack.us upload a picture and click on "host it!"
2. you scroll down and copy the link of "Direct link to image"
3. Now you click on "Post a reply" in this forum and click on this symbol:
and paste the link from imageshack into the line where you can type something in after clicking on then you press OK
4. Click on Submit Reply.

Now it should work.

Stna: I followed your instructions to the letter but for some unknown reason the site will not allow the jpg to be pasted into the line where you can type something. I did manage to get the jpg in the large block for comments but it wont open up! The photo downloaded great on imageshack but will not transfer over to wehrmanchawards.com. Any more suggestions?

Imageshack is sometimes a bit bugged.

Stna: I have tried everything I can think of to download the photograph, including all 3 free image hosting websites. It will not be accepted on this
site! If you can send me your email address, I can probably send them to you theough regular email! In the mean time I will ask board members for their assistance.
