    Opinions on S-Boot Document Please

I am considering purchasing this document but these things are not in my normal realm of collecting. Therefore I would appreciate opinions before I buy. The price is 550.00 euro.

    Thanks

Although the pic is kinda small, doesn't raise any immediate red flags.

      S-Boot doc

Thanks Hank. The picture is from the dealers site so it's all I've got to work with unfortunately.

Any different opinions out there? Is the price fair?

      Thanks

        Hi John,

That is a good original E.Boat badge document.

Don't know what your interest in E.Boats is ?
Flottille in the West, North, East, Med. ???
Signed by Bülow or Petersen ?

I myself prefer the E.Boats in the West and docs signed by Petersen.

Claus Philipp sells such documents for a nice price, his E.Boat Badge documents aren't too high priced or expensive, on other sides I have seen them for sale for a higher price.
Think you saw that at his side too.....but for 50 Euro extra you have a EK.2 document to go with it.

        yours friendly

          S-Boot

          Hello Eric-Jan,

Thank you for the additional comments. My interest in the S-Boot is very new and is mostly about 4. Schnellbootflottille in mid-1944 and it's commander Rkt K.Kpt. Kurt Fimmen. Also in the early years of the war, 1. Schnellbootflottille, when Kurt Fimmen was commander of S-26. So for me it is the unit on the document that is important, not so much the signature. Although the best document for me would be one signed by Kurt Fimmen.

If you know of anything related to those units, or Kurt Fimmen, please let me know. On June 8, 1944 the 4. Schnellbootflottille sank two US LST's on their way to Normandy. My uncle perished on one of those LST's. That is the reason for my sudden interest.
