Photo request - 4. Schnellbooteflottille / Rkt. K.Kpt. Kurt Fimmen

Hi Guys,

I am on a quest to find any and all information, documents, photos, etc. on the 4th S-Boote Flottille, it's late war commander Rkt. K.Kpt. Kurt Fimmen, and S-Boote numbers S-172, S-174, S-175, and S-187.

I recently discovered that the LST my uncle was on was probably sunk by Herr Fimmen and his boats on the night of June 8/9, 1944 on it's way to Normandy. My uncle and his entire unit perished in that attack.

Please post any of the above if you have them.

Bumping this back to the top. I'm still seeking pictures or information on this unit. In the meantime, here is an autographed early picture of Herr Fimmen that I recently picked up.

Here is a better known picture of Herr Fimmen. I took this scan out of Michael Tuckers book on Heer and Kriegemarine badges.

I would like to purchase an original of this picture if I can find it, but would settle for a hi-resolution scan of one in the meantime if anyone can help.
