Can you guys post some photos for me of fighting between American GIs and German troops after operation overlord? Photos through St. Lo, Caen, the Falaise pocket, the Battle of the Bulge, Market Garden, and anything else in that area.

Hello,

Most of these photos are in the US national archieves...when they captured the German cameras/photos in France the US took their cameras and film and sent it back to the US. I have never seen any photos from this time period. I have some photos from 1944-45, but most are from non "hot spots" during this time. I would be very interested in seeing some photos if anyone had them. I did however have an album at one time from a US soldier showing knocked out Panthers etc in France...once again very rare! Actually had a photo in the album dated the day Hitler died and and yes they were under artillery fire in Germany...now that is cool!
