    What kind of german troops are these?

    Hi,

    Yesterday i received a big lot of pictures! But i don't know exacly what kind of troops are standing on this picture? excpecialy the one with the crushed cap on the right of the guy with the steel helmet.

    Hi Ben, welcome to the forum!

    They are Heer.

    The interesting aspect is that most of them appear to wear the old Reichsheer pattern field cap. This was worn with a cockade minus the wreath of oakleaves. They appear to have updated the cap with the eagle national emblem and possibly a dark green badge cloth band. I would guess that the picture was taken about 1935?

    The other guys wear the standard enlisted mans / NCO's Schirmutze. This can be seen with the wreathed cockade.
