    Show us your Feldherrnhalle photos

I am trying to get a feel for the rarity of these items...not only the photos of the Feldherrnhalle soldiers and their helmets, etc., but also the actual period photos themselves. Here is a very rare image of two FHH guards (somewhere in Munich?) wearing FHH helmets with WW1 M16 style shells. This photo comes from the B.Bell site on German Helmets.

    Let's see your photos.

    Cheers,
    Darryl

    Hi Darryl

    Here is mine.

Not an original photograph, but an original postcard

        Raymond,

That is a very nice photo of the Feldherrnhalle monument but I do believe those soldiers are SS, not FHH guards.

        Cheers,

PS - I just now realized that my thread title is quite ambiguous. I was intending on seeing photos of the FHH soldiers, not the building itself. Sorry for the confusion.

          Hi Darryl

Yes, they are SS honour guards, but looking at your thread it read as photographs of the Feldherrnhalle.

It is a nice postcard either way

You're absolutely correct and I apologize for the confusion. Your postcard is very nice indeed!

A few pictures from an album.

Already shown on the cuff title thread but with a different trimming.

Not what Darryl had in mind, but here is the what the Munich
monument looks like in more recent times - it would be nice to
know where the bronze eagle is burried today? A collector
friend in Munich also says that the Brown House NSDAP HQ
building site is currently being excavated, but I doubt that
we will ever hear if anything interesting is found there?
