If it is him, he wasn't a Divisionskommandeur however in 1940 but Armee Korps!

Hi Ian is right not as Div Cmdr.
Pic of him probably taken as Cmdr 33 Inf Div stationed
at Mannheim 1937-39,the Div did serve France 1940 but
in same year became 15th Panzer Div.It is probably taken from
an album of the 33 ID or 15th Pz Div
I have a Geffers as Oberst 1/2/44(17) at one time served with
12 Pz Gdr Regt(4th Pz Div)

hello hammel, thanks.
my problem is that the album´s ( 3 )
after the war was probably arranged

The owner was at an army message department
and very beautiful photos left
The Photograf stay in Germersheim / Rhein ( A.N.A.)

Ps. The potograf was an author WW1 book`s

Looking at the photo again it does appear to be prewar......the big give away is the cross strap.....I believe they stopped that in 1939?
