John, my uncle NEVER talked about his time in the NPEA, only with his mother, my grandmother Alberta.

She told me all this, before she passed away in the year 2003.

These schools were hard, and merciless, the boys were "trimmed" ideologically, 24/7/365, my uncle is still alive, I have asked him several times, but he does not like to talk about his time in the NPEA...

P.S. On the above photo Helmut wears the HJ uniform, while visting his parents in the Sudetenland, in 1943.
My grandfather Hans, as an officer in the RAD, commanded a RAD Abteilung in Stadt Liebau, Sudetenland.

The NPEA scholars were not allowed, the wear the NPEA uniform during their holidays, they had to wear the uniform of the HJ.

A nice photo, HJ relaxing, I like this very much.

The boys did not suspect back then, about their later "fate" in the Wehrmacht, the Waffen-SS, etc.

                  What a waste of lives...

                              watermark

                              Hi Todd,

You all have great photos. I should be getting two more very soon. Could you tell me what a watermark is? I saw it mentioned in another thread as a way to prevent people from copying your photo.

                                Thanks StugIII,

Watermarking is adding a name or logo to your images. For examples, you can see my name across my images I post. I use a photo image program to add this watermark.
