here is a photo of the Russina tank posted in your sales thread though from another angle. Also what looks like Sutterlin script. This may give you a bit of information about the album.

hi, Can you post the information on how that was determined? Was it the Unit emblem? just curious as I too have a photo, single only, of the same unit emblem on a vehicle.

Is the sign on the side of the Stuka the same one on the side of this vehicle?

Can't send any other scans at the moment as I am not at home and this is an old one off the forum...it shows pilots from 7 Staffel, Stuka Geschwader 1.

It is either 7 Staffel emblem or III. Gruppe, St.G 1....thinking about it, it might be the Gruppe emblem as it has an Anchor...III/St.G. 1 was formed from I/Trägergruppe 186.

                /Ian

As I am understanding it Rove you are basing this on the title "blue Comet history of the 1st left feld division"?
The vehicle with the comet/shooting star bears a heer plate. If I am thinking right wouldn't the plates be WL instead WH for a luftwaffe feld diviosn?

                      All the best, Mike
