    Latest arrival: EK2 spange grouping

Well, I'd been looking to add an EK2 Spange urkunde to my collection for awhile, and hadn't found the "right one". I finally located this grouping at a fair price, and picked it up. Altogether there are about 35 documents, I've pictured the most pertinent here.

    Enjoy.

So, this is how he started:

After the war Herr Kalinke apparently became a teacher, and quite a hunter. Here's his Schiessbuch from 1936.

The first "official" day of the war saw Herr Kalinke, the Oberschulleher, being honored for 25 Years of Faithful Service.

Now serving in Artillery Regiment 18, Lt. Kalinke took part in the opening days of the war...and was duly recognized. Of course, German correctness in dealing with paperwork often requires a pre-document for a document to be issued...

Even as the war progressed, he still found time for his passion. Here's his Hunting license from 43-44.

No docs after this one...did he survive the war? No telling...as of now.
