    Translation Help Please!

    Hi everyone, I have 4 portraits that I would love to have translated by one of our friendly german-fluent collectors! If someone could help me out it would be much appreciated! Pleaseeeeee

          That depends on what's on the picture. If he was already in the Army it would be leave, if he travelled through the country before joining it would be vacation.

                      Rogenburg Lausitz= village in eastern germany

                        I agree with the "leave" on picture 1 and we can assume that if this is on the back of the picture that he was also later killed in action as this is a typical phrase when this is the case, usually annotated by the family

                            I would say:
                            Januar 1945 erhalten aus Italian.

                            In english: January 1945 recieved from Italy
                            but don't shoot me if this is wrong, I am still training this reading
