I have not heard of these being faked or re-printed .. yet ... and would have thought that this one is good and original. Cheers, Torsten.

        Leitheft

your Leitheft looks good. Watch for the staples on the side and also test it with a black-light. Most moder paper glows.

Hello. Yes, I too believe it looks just right for pre 40's Leitheft.
I have found that there are some repros coming out , or at least the covers are faked. The covers are a giveaway as they are a bit cruder than the originals and the staples are too brand new looking. I have found one in my own collection, and what is strange is that the rest of the magazine truly appears original. My theory is that as there are many leithefts without covers due to acidity damage, etc AND the probable need to get rid of illegal SS symbols in the past made the covers just get torn off. So some one printed up covers to make the coverless leithefts worth a lot more.

...or maybe just to make an otherwise incomplete Heft into a complete one for their own collection...? I have had a few books with colour copied DJ's...done by the owner to at least have an original design DJ to go with their books. Cheers, Torsten.
