    TR books pick-up

I had myself a small book pick-up today.....

It came all from a old bookstore not far away from here, where the owner was passed away some weeks ago...
He had them almost his whole life in stock, the guy was afraid that they would fall in wrong hands. So he didn't sold them.
But as a book-lover he didn't want to destroy them.

A friend of mine knows his wife and contacted me,
she was planning to throw them all away...

So I took them all...... Safed them from hell.....

It is not really my collecting field but I wanted to safe them...

He are some pics from the small library.....

Great find. Books aren't collected by many, but I think they have a place in any period collection.

                  Francois,

                  Very nice book find!

Can you tell more about the "Panzerkampfwagenbuch?" Is it a technical manual for operation of a tank, or what?

                  Best,
                  Greg

Hello Francois, I am happy you found them. Since you put them up on the forum it is obvious you will give them a good home. It was the collecting of TR related books that has led me to collect Militaria ,and eventually join this forum. Those books look "fresh" and bright, they had been well taken care of.
                    Cheers, Michael F.

                      Hi Greg,

the Panzerkampfwagenbuch is some sort of Fibel.
There are wrong and right pics and text about tactics and attacks...

                      Intresting book...

They are almost all "fresh and bright" Michael...

                      Cheers

Francois, I know you know what I meant. When I find books around here or from an international book site, they are usually much more scuffed up and especially any front cover print is worn away. Yours were well cared for. Also, the one book with the Silver Eagle -be sure not to let that rub to much against the other books-those rub off easily.
                        Enjoy, Michael

I have 8 period books, i think they look good in the background when displaying political and hj stuff etc.
Good catch you can never have enough mein kampfs!
out of interest does anyone know how many mein kampf styles there were?
