Dear all,
I thought I’ve found three very rare postcards, but now I’ve received them I got strong doubts.
What made me suspicious: the back says they are printed by Carl Köfer, Berlin.
I think it is a bit odd that both Flemish and a Dutch card where printed in Germany.
Second thing is the Flemish Uilenspiegel card, in the middle of the card it shows a printed fold, like someone took a picture of an original poster (with a fold in the middle) and then printed it on the card.
Third: the white ink and paper of the Uilenspiegel cards glows under UV light.
My questions: anybody familiar with these cards?
Better said: does anybody know of ‘foreign’ cards printed in Germany?
Does anybody know if those have been reprinted?
Thanks for your time!
Best regards,
Martin
