Hi,
Just wondering if someone can identity the last word in this short text on the reverse of this photo? I assume it is a place name.

Feldflugplatz bei ??????

I can't read it either, but it sure looks like the mountains in North Caucasia in the background. I know all of the airfields in that area that were used August to December 1942, but none of them fit that place name.

I would place my bets on "Patric".
There's a city Petrich in southern Bulgaria, would that make any sense?

Another clue: if the fuselage bands of the Ju 87s are white, then it's the Mediterranean theater; if they are yellow, then it's the Russian theater. I've seen this photo before or one very similar to it in a book on the Luftwaffe.
