Help! Photos stuck together

I'm hoping someone can offer some advice on how to separate some photos that have stuck together. They were fine before being despatched from Germany, but upon arrival, I found that the parcel was water damaged and some of the photos - not in a plastic or mylar sleeves, by the way - had been affected. It seems the water caused the emulsion on the front of some photos (a glossy Agfa-Brovira stock with double underlines) to stick to the backs of others. That, combined with being compressed for a few weeks, has caused them to stick fast. The worse thing is, the "money shots" - the photos I was most interested in - are the worst affected.

Any suggestions?

Try some steam, but be careful!

Aww man, this is a tragedy. I think maybe steam would work, but like he said "be careful". I hope all works out!
