    Opinions Ostmedaille Urkunde

    Hi Guys!

Can somebody help me with this item?
Its a Urkunde of a Ostmedaille but i don't know sure if this is real one.
    Somebody knows?

    Best Regards,

    Hello,

The document doesn't have an unit stamp and no unit citation.
Also it is made up in handwritting, normally those documents are filled in with a typewriter.
    I would pass on it.
Finding a 100% authentic ost-medal document can't be that difficult.

And I'am sure if you put the ost medal itself for inspection on this forum that the chance is very high that it also turns out to be a fake.

    Cheers,
    Peter

I just bought it from a dealer in Holland, its a good dealer and the Ostmedaille is tested and its a good one.
He bought this set from the family of the Soldier on the picture in Germany.

Nothing wrong at all with it being filled out by hand or not having the unit. The lack of stamp (unless it's hidden behind the ribbon) only serves to lower it's value because there's virtually no chance of being able to attribute it. On it's own the doc would be worth maybe 15 Euros.

Most dealers sell docs, all the major ones do. There's also a lot of genuine cheap docs available at militaria321 but also a lot of fakes. Our very own E-stand has docs too of course though not to many unfortunately.

Militaria 321 has been a happy hunting ground for me recently
