    Snyder's Bormann Forgery?

I was looking through my archive of photos and perusing Snyder's site, coming across what looks like a clear case of a forged document, which I suppose is not very surprising. Thought it might be interesting info.
The first is an image of a Bormann signed doc taken form Snyder's and the second is of an original document sold by Alexander Autographs.
The two docs are almost the same, excepting a sloppy Bormann sig.
The copy also appears artificially aged.
The copy also has the word "heir" instead of "hier" and no correction on the grammatical mistake "eingeganer Schreiben" where the r should be an s.

    Interesting how some forgers work.

Well, I wouldn't say it is a "sloppy" Bormann signature. It is in fact an exact copy of one of his signatures, down to the smallest detail. I would guess that it is a digitally laser copied example which has been enhanced. The one it is taken from is at the top of p95 Charles Hamilton's book "Leaders and Personalities of the Third Reich" volume 1. This is the signature most used in Bormann forgeries and is nearly always reproduced in black ink.
Bormann's signature grew in size over the years, probably in line with his importance in the Nazi hierarchy. Earlier examples are much smaller.
Another telltale sign on this particular forgery is the lack of embossed eagle at the top centre of the sheet between Nationalsozialistische and Deutsche. It can just be made out on the authentic copy.
      Max.

Of course, you're right about that. But compared to the original document, it is a poor attempt at reproduction. The position and baseline of the signature and its relative size also seems off from Bormann's usual style. I agree completely, it probably was printed on somehow from Hamilton.

I also found that another copy of the same document sold on R&R in Jan 04. There are a few grammatical corrections from the Snyder's fake. The signature also moved compared with the first fake. These docs seem to get around.
