    Freshly awarded KVKs

Went through some fairly boring pictures tonight, but I thought this one with newly awarded KVK 2nd classes was interesting, just due to how they arranged the ribbons.

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

Very unusual. I thought these were first worn in a similar way to EK2s.

Follow-up, my pic is in Greece, I believe 1943-ish. The picture grouping is from the stout looking fellow between the half guy on the left and the officer.

So how was this officially supposed to be worn? It seems to be all over the place.

Just like an EK2. The ribbon with the medal attached is passed through a buttonhole on the day it is awarded. After that the ribbon alone is worn on the buttonhole, or as part of a ribbon bar on the upper chest or parade-mounted (ribbon + medal) won special occasions.

What about when the EK2 and KVK2 have been awarded like in that pic above (obviously a portrait so he is wearing them in full dress) How would it be worn in the field? Was the single KVK2 ribbon bar presented along with the award or did it need to be requested?

#9 looks a little odd which round medal came before the KVK?

One of the "Flower War" medals...I'm not sure on precedence, he may have just messed up. It's been known to happen...
