    3 Brothers...

With the wounderful help of my great friend, Laurens Qfynn, I obtained this album. It appears to have belonged to the soldat in the sanis service as there are more of his photos in the album. Along with him there are what appears to be 2 more brothers and maybe a third.
Enjoy the great uniform shots and comments are more than welcome!

Once again Laurens is a great person and one day I hope to share some sake with him.

    Mike

this one may show a 4th brother unless the one in the tropical uniform was in the Luftwaffe as well. note the early DAK CT.

I thought this fellow was SS at first but I think he may be NSFK by the shoulder boards.

                  Mike,

Thanks for posting these photos and you picked up an excellent photo album. I would like to point out that the AfrikaKorps CT shown in this photo is not the early DAK CT.....The Afrika Korps worn by the Heer was the early type....the Luftwaffe wore a blue CT with AFRIKA on it and it was only allowed to be worn while stationed in Africa. I believe the LW soldier is wearing either a locally made or specially made blue CT with AfrikaKorps on it as I have never seen one in any of my references. I have some specially made AFRIKA CT's in my collection but nothing like in your photo. Very nice and rare proof of another variation.

Thanks Bill for the additional information. I was not aware that the luftwaffe had a different CT. Learn something everyday. When I first saw the auction It was a good scan and I thought it may have been an HG CT. Was a bit dissapointed that is wasn't but now you have made up for that!

thanks again and glad you liked the photos!

                      Mike,

The AfrikaKorps CT that he is wearing is not official nor was it a manufactured piece....strictly private made. The AFRIKA with Palms was the second model that was authorized for wear.
