    Opinion on 2 documents

    Hello all,

I am posting two award documents that were part of a deal I made and arrived today. The first one is the KVK2 awarded to a Fritz Wittman
14/FJR 3 in Italy 1944 and signed I think by Richard Heidrich.

The second one is the Sturmabzeichen Silber awarded to a Gerhard Christiansen 5/GR 368 in December 1944.

Any and all comments are welcome

    Regards
    Peter

A little worn looking, but they make a good impression. How are the edges of the documents? Always a good idea to post full doc for best results.

          Peter,

I do not think that is the signature of Heidrich.

It must be Heilmann (I think)

          Best regards,

          Rene

            Hi Rene,

I took a quick look in Klaus Peters book about FJR3 and I think you are right. It certainly does not look like Heydrichs signature at all.
Leaves the question who's is it??

            regards

Looks like a "Dr. Schneider" to me....

                Hi Hank,

Yes the signature on the second document is certainly by a Dr Schneider.
There is a Dr Walther Schneider whio was a stabsartz in 1/21 but I doubt it is him.

                regards
                Peter

Not Heidrich, he was a generalleutnant and divisions kommandeur
Not Heilmann, he was an oberst
Not Adolf Häring the Ia either, he was an oberst
Not Walther or Schulz either, also both Oberst.

anyone know who the commander of Fsch.A.R.1 was at the time?

Could it be a Generalmajor Hans Korte ??
