IAB document....

I got this early award document for the IAB. I was wondering what the experts think about it? Legit or not?


Did these document have watermarks? Just curious.


Any input is highly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Looks strange to me too. Not seen that texture on an urkunde before? Have you UV tested it?

I never thought this one could not be original. It came with the IAB, and was framed with old photograph paper on the back.

Never saw GAB or IAB printed on such paper. I'm currently selling few in blanco originals, see Bazaar section.

I've seen paper like this used with award docs, as well as watermarks.


Units had them printed up if they needed them, that's one of the reasons why there's such a large variety.

Try and find out how the commander of IR 476 was at the time or even better look for other IAB docs to this regiment around the same period.
