Are these French officers partying with some Wehrmacht Officers and Blitzmaedel?? Of course, I am talking about the two officers with bar type shoulder boards...can anyone identify what they are?? Thank you for your help and opinions...Cheers, Torsten.

While one cannot make out any details in this photograph, I am fairly certain that those are railway officials wearing the so-called Passanten introduced in 1941. These replaced the earlier conventional shoulder boards as pay group insignia. The dark uniform color also fits.

Ah...this might well be it...I had never before heard of Passanten for shoulder board for the DR?? Learned something new I guess..
