Thank you Eric for posting this picture, i have a little question regarding this picture ??
Looking at his ribbon bar , the last ribbon has crossed swords attached towards it ? , for wich Spanisch award does this ribbon stands ?
The Spanisch cross is probably the silver grade .

Stijn--that is without doubt the Spanish 1936-39 Campaign Medal for Combatants. Although there were distinct ribbons for the combatant and non-combatant ribbons, I have NEVER seen an original German ribbon bar which did NOT have crossed swords on this ribbon.
