    Need a translation

Hi i need a translation of a death card, i understand most of it but, i don't know some of the words, i am trying to figure out if he was a PILOT.

    Gebets-Andenken
    an den tugendsamen Jungling
von Zangenstein Gefr. in einer Luffwaffen-Einheit Er starb den Heldentod fur's Vaterland am 3.Feb.1942 bei den Kampfen im Osten im 21. Lebensjahr.

    Thanks

Prayer memory of the virtuous youngling (or is J******252;ngling a part of his name? Is it a "u" or a "******252;" on the card?) von Zangenstein, Gefreiter (private first class i guess in english) in a airforce unit. He died the hero's death for the fatherland on the 3.Feb.1942 during the battles in the East at the age of 21.

So its not obvious if he had been a pilot - maybe yes, maybe no.

    best regards

Vielleicht eine Beobachter, eine Bordfunker, eine Bordmechaniker, eine Bordschütze?

Or, maybe in the Flakartillerie or the Luftnachrichtentruppen.......

There is nothing there to suggest that he belonged to an air crew. Only that he belonged to the Luftwaffe and lost his life in the East, meaning Russia.
